Montafon Stone Sheep Trail
The trail provides information about the history and special features of this breed of sheep, which is native to the area and was threatened with extinction. The tour leads from the village centre of St. Gallenkirch down to the Ill, slightly uphill out of the valley between forest and pastures, then immediately back into the valley and back to the village centre via beautiful viewpoints. You may well see stone sheep along the way.
