Hiking: With the nature guide to the Wiegensee European Nature Reserve

Habitats of absolute rarity, unique plant and animal species, and an impressive view of the Silvretta – on this hike through the three European protected areas of Schuttfluren Tafamunt, Wiegensee, and Verwall, your nature guide will show you a natural environment that is truly one of a kind. The heart of the hike is a unique moor biotope at 1,900 m above sea level: the Wiegensee, the oldest natural reservoir in the Montafon and Austria's most beautiful place in 2021. On the way to the Verbellaalpe and the Zeinissee, we hike through various stages of moorland, tall forb communities, and alpine pastures. The tour is rounded off with an impressive bus ride back to Partenen via the Silvretta High Alpine Road, with views of the three reservoirs Kops, Silvretta, and Vermunt. Information about the closure of the Silvretta High Alpine Road: If the Bielerhöhe is closed on the day of the hike, we will walk back to the Tafamunt mountain station or via Ganifer to Partenen.
