The silver trail on the Kristberg in the Silbertal valley
Experience the fascinating history of mining in a fun way
The Montafon, and Silbertal and Bartholomäberg in particular, are closely linked to medieval mining. In order to make the history of mining and its modern scientific research comprehensible, a research trail called the Silver Trail was set up by the Kristbergbahn in cooperation with the University of Innsbruck, the municipality of Silbertal and the Panoramagasthof Kristberg on the Kristberg.
This Leader project was realized in cooperation with the University of Innsbruck, the municipality of Silbertal and the Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
The 2.7 km long educational trail is ideal for families and interested groups. The twelve stations, some of which are interactive, bring visitors closer to the fascination of mining in a beautiful natural setting. At the end of the trail at the St. Agatha miners' chapel and below the Kristberg panoramic inn is the silver play world with many attractions welcomes children.

You can get your personal treasure map with pencil (if you don't have a suitable pencil with you) at the valley station of the Montafon Kristbergbahn, at the Knappastoba and at the Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
