If you need a ticket for your bus or train journey but don't feel like trawling through timetables, simply download the FAIRTIQ app on your cell phone. It will always show you the cheapest available ticket for the route you are traveling and charge you for it.

s' Muntafuner Bähle
You can reach the Montafon every half hour during the day and every hour in the evening by train. On site, regional bus connections every quarter, half hour or hour ensure that you can commute flexibly between the villages in the valley without long waiting times.
Night express
You can reliably reach your destination even late at night. The Montafon night express takes night owls - or anyone who likes to stay out late - from Schruns station to the communities of St. Gallenkirch and Gaschurn. The N6 line operates in both directions.

Cab in the Montafon
The last few meters from the train station to your accommodation
Various cab companies also offer their services, especially when the local buses and the Montafon Railway are no longer able to transport you regularly, i.e. in the early morning and late evening hours. The "go&ko" cab service is also available in the evenings. Many of our accommodations also offer pick-up services, so it's best to ask your accommodation right away.

about bus and train in the Montafon
What should I bear in mind when buying tickets for buses and trains in the Montafon?
Tickets must always be purchased before departure, e.g. here:
- At ticket machines (cash and card payment possible) at the train stations in the Montafon.
- At the ticket counter in the station building in Schruns (cash and card payment possible).
- Directly on the bus from the bus driver (only cash payment possible).
- In an app of your choice, we recommend the FAIRTIQ app.

Does a multi-day ticket for the mountain railroads entitle me to use public transport?
- In WINTER, all single and multi-day tickets, as well as season and annual tickets for the mountain railroads in the Montafon (with the exception of the "single pedestrian ticket") are valid for free transportation on the Montafonerbahn and the Landbus Montafon for the purpose of winter sports. On the Landbus Montafon, this entitlement is valid until 19:30. Ski cards are therefore not valid on the night express (N6).
- In SUMMER, journeys on public transport (during the day) are covered by the multi-day tickets of the mountain railroads. Season and annual tickets are generally not valid as public transport tickets in summer.

Is public transport covered by the guest card?
The ticket for public transport is a separate ticket and is not included in the guest card. For the purpose of winter sports, however, the season, one-day and multi-day tickets of one or more mountain railroads are valid as a ticket for public transport.
Do I still have to validate my ticket?
Bus or train tickets do not need to be validated separately after purchase. However, a valid ticket must be presented at a ticket inspection.
Can I take my bike with me?
Bicycles can be taken on both buses and trains with restrictions. Bicycles require their own ticket. Bicycles can only be taken on the bus if it has a rear rack or bicycle trailer. Bicycles with a maximum tire size of 27.5 inches can be transported. Bicycle transport cannot be reserved and is only possible subject to availability .(br) Unfortunately,e-mountain bikes cannot be transported for technical reasons.

Special regulation Bielerhöhe: From the beginning of July to the beginning of September, you can always take your (e-)mountain bike on Tuesdays and Fridays on the bike transport to the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe and start your tour from there. Bikes with 29-inch tires can also be transported here.
Can I take my dog with me on buses and trains?
- Your four-legged friend can also travel with you on buses and trains. However, they must be secured with a lead and a muzzle.
- Forgot your muzzle? In the tourist information offices muzzles can be purchased. Small dogs that are classified as non-hazardous are transported free of charge. A ticket must be purchased for larger dogs. Partner dogs for people with disabilities, guide dogs and assistance dogs are excluded.
What are the hiking buses all about?
In addition to the normal scheduled buses and the Montafon Railway, the Montafon also offers hiking buses. With the hiking buses in the Montafon, you can save yourself tedious meters in altitude exactly where there are no mountain railroads and the alpine paths are closed to private transport. Whether to the rear Silbertal Rellseck or Rellstal - even ambitious hiking tours are suddenly feasible, as the ascents and descents are drastically shortened.

Travel for people with reduced mobility by bus and train in the Montafon is largely possible. Please register in advance at the Schruns railroad station so that sufficient space can be provided on the bus and train (T. +43 5556 9000 800). There are both underfloor and overfloor buses.
