The hikers carefully grope their way through the velvety dusk. Quiet, almost a little reverent. A woman with a large hat and long walking stick leads the way. Shortly after the mountain station of the Montafon Kristbergbahn cable car, she breaks the silence. She tells old legends about the Night People and the Devil's Stream with powerful words and gestures. The world around her is quiet - the participants listen intently to the stories. The route continues eastwards along the Silver Trail, past the old sawmill and the Silbersee lake uphill to the Kristbergsattel. At the Hugelsee lake, all participants look for a suitable spot and enjoy the forest buffet and listen devoutly to more legends. The Silbertal, one of the most pristine areas of Vorarlberg, has always inspired the imagination. Legendary things are said to have happened along the untamed Litz stream and on the Kristberg - both above and below ground. To bring the events to life, the well-known storyteller Hertha Glück guides you through the world of Montafon myths on the full moon legend hike on the Kristberg. In an incomparable manner - in Vorarlberg dialect and in High German - she masters the ancient art of storytelling. Hertha Glück prefers to recite the old legends at dusk and under a full moon: "Then they have a more intense effect." Because when the eyes see less, the other senses become more important. The aim is to activate the imagination in particular.
The eventful, relaxed and short legend hike on easy paths offers not only mysticism and customs but also culinary delights. It starts at the open fireplace in front of the St. Agatha mountain chapel with a surprise drink and then turns into a fabulous 3-course culinary journey into the early Montafon. While enjoying the traditional dishes from the region, there is also enough time to talk about what you have experienced and heard. An unforgettable mountain adventure evening for everyone aged 18 and over.
