Wiegensee European nature reserve

Lake Wie gensee is a unique moor complex at around 2,000 meters above sea level in the Verwall mountains above Partenen. As the oldest natural reservoir in the Montafon, it impresses with its untouched moorland landscape and rare plant species.

Did you know that there are four impressive glaciers in the Silvretta region of Gaschurn-Partenen?

Water is more than just an element here - it is both energy and life. In winter as snow and ice, in summer as huge masses of water in the Silvretta reservoirs. Hidden in the mountains, Obervermuntwerk II is a new power plant. Hansjörg Schwarz and the Illwerke team are making sure that nothing will be left to remind you of the construction site.
