Rätikon adventure area

Immerse yourself and recharge your batteries - this is what this adventure area is made for

In the north-west of the Silvretta lies the Rätikon with its white limestone walls reminiscent of the Dolomites. Its most famous peaks, the Three Towers and the Zimba, characterize the Montafon. The mountain range stretches across Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland and boasts around 300 peaks, some of which are close to 3,000 meters. Hikers, climbers and mountaineers will find varied terrain here with routes of all levels of difficulty.

The Rätikon is reminiscent of the southern Italian Dolomites and impresses with its unspoilt nature.

Rätikon adventure area - diversity that moves

The Rätikon awakens a zest for life with its rich colors and striking peaks. Flora and fauna are at their best here - with a bit of luck you might spot chamois or hear marmots whistling.

The hiking trails range from steep climbs to easy routes, ideal for families who will find special experiences on the Golm. Your spirit of discovery will be awakened on the trails of the smugglers' route. The turquoise-colored Lünersee and many other locations invite you to experience the Rätikon in all its facets.

A cornucopia of creation.

White stone giants in front of flowering meadows and grazing Montafon brown cattle, fresh mountain springs and the turquoise waters of Lake Lünersee. Dive in and recharge your batteries - this habitat is perfect for that. With a bit of luck, chamois will peer down from the peaks and marmots will whistle.

Long-distance hiking trail with a rare character

Montafon Rätikon Tour

... is a four-stage high mountain tour through the fullness of the Rätikon. From the Golmerbahn mountain station, you climb up to the Golmerjoch and look down on the showpieces of this habitat: the Three Towers and the Zimba. The route leads through valleys, over peaks and the Lünersee lake across to Switzerland and along steep limestone walls up to the Sulzfluh before returning to Latschau.

For me, the Gauertal is one of the most beautiful valley ends in the Alps!

This place is a good example of the valley's alpine and Maisäß culture. But who still knows what a "Maisäß" is today? Unfortunately, knowledge of how this cultural landscape was created is slowly being lost, which is why the Gauertal AlpkulTour trail was created. The best time to come is in autumn, when the play of colors is particularly magnificent.
