Montafon theater hike
After almost 100 fully booked performances and an impressive 10-year season of the play "On the Run", there will be a new Montafon theater tour entitled "Border Experiences on the Magic Mountain" from summer 2025.
The Montafon will thus become a stage that shows how local stories reflect global developments.

In summer 2025, the Montafon will once again be transformed into a special kind of stage: "Grenzerfahrungen am Zauberberg" is the name of the new production by the teatro caprile ensemble, which has been creating impressive theater hikes in the high mountains for over a decade. At around 1,500 meters above sea level, below the Madrisa, 14 stations and 16 scenes await you, linking nature, contemporary history and the present in a multi-layered way. Led by experienced hiking guides, you will embark on a five-hour hike during which you will be immersed in exciting scenes along the way.

When the landscape becomes a narrator
The Maisäß landscape around Gargellen is not just a backdrop - it is part of the narrative. Weather, wind, light and topography act as dramatic elements. The scenes revolve around borderline experiences between nature and civilization, memory and repression, departure and standstill. You encounter life stories of flight, resistance and longing - sometimes documented, sometimes poetically condensed.
