The cultural and art-historical village circular route presents significant and interesting facts about Schruns. The circular route leads you past the most important and historically significant buildings in the village.

With the summer variant (route is attached as a minimap image - marked in green), the route leads you from the town center over a wonderfully elevated path at the edge of the village. This not only offers you an overall view of Schruns but also gives you the feeling of being above the roofs of the village. Excellent for orientation and getting an overall overview.

Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Schruns. After crossing the railway line, turn left at the next intersection and follow the road towards Schruns train station.

Just leave your car standing

The country buses run throughout Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns train station.

Arrival by train to Montafon

From Bludenz train station, the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partly every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) or Bregenz.

You have the option to park in an underground garage between Schruns train station and the Schruns tourist office.

The start of the cultural and art-historical village circular route is at the hiking start point at the church square in Schruns. You now proceed onto Silvrettastraße (towards Hotel Taube and Hotel Löwen). Following Silvrettastraße, after 300 m you pass the cemetery. Walk past it and turn left into Bergbahnstraße. Here continue until opposite the valley station – at the end of the parking lot – a narrow footpath leads back towards the town center. Upon reaching Jakob-Stemer-Weg, cross it and continue straight ahead along the school building on Kaiserlindenweg. At the end of the path by the houses, go left and then left again. You now come back to the Münster zu Schruns, passing it on the right, and after the Kurapotheke turn right into Dorfstraße. Follow this and follow Silbertalerstraße for about 100 m, cross the street and continue over the bridge.

After crossing the bridge, keep left and turn into Kronengasse. At Hotel Krone, cross Außer Litzstraße at the pedestrian crossing and pass Hotel Litz onto the Litz promenade. Downstream along the river, cross the bridge after 300 m to the left and now follow the Litz river upstream. You are now on Dr. Vonbun Weg. This leads you to a junction. Now follow the signs towards Schruns train station to the right. You walk directly to the roundabout – where the tourism information Schruns is also located – opposite the station. Leave the station on your right and follow Bahnhofstraße. After 200 m turn left at the intersection and continue along Bahnhofstraße. Now you walk directly to the church square. This is where your route began and where it ends again.
