Tourbeschreibung

On snowshoes you explore the small village and learn some interesting facts about its history.

Description

The legend of the "Gufelste" - the split stone

How do you draw boundaries in the mountains? The easiest way is along streams or along mountain ridges; then there is a clearly visible here and there. In the Silvretta, however, it sometimes required, at least according to the legend, lightning and thunder and thus a divine judgment to resolve the lengthy border disputes between the people from the Lower Engadine and the people from Montafon... (here you come to the whole legend)

Approach

Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Partenen.

A few meters after Gasthof Partenerhof on the right is Bischof-Rudigier-Platz. On the left is the Vallülasaal with the energie.raum.

Directions

The route starts in the center of Partenen. You follow the "Alte Schulstraße", continue downhill and cross the street after the fire station. On the other side of the Ill river, your path leads you uphill past the outdoor pool and shooting range. Next to the cross-country ski trail, it goes past the Gufelste and further to the toll station of the Silvretta High Alpine Road.

There you cross the street, hike past Bellamaisäß to the Maler Chapel. Once there, it goes slightly uphill via Loch to the valley station of the Lifinar lift (drag lift). Here you cross the federal road L188 and go downhill along the Ill river. You cross the federal road L188 once again and go across the meadow, crossing the village street, at the edge of the cross-country ski trail back to your starting point.
