Tourbeschreibung

The Montafonerhausweg shows the special features of typical residential and economic houses, as they were built in the valley from the 15th to the 20th century. They are inseparably linked to the Montafon cultural landscape. From the village center, you walk inward along the valley, then above the village along the sunny side with a view of the Vallüla. On the way back, a detour to the Balbier waterfall in Gortipohl is worthwhile.

Description

What makes a Montafonerhaus? This path shows the special features of typical residential and economic buildings, as they were built in the valley from the 15th to the 20th century. They are inseparably linked to the Montafon cultural landscape. At five different stations, a characteristic feature of a Montafonerhaus is explained. This makes it easy afterwards to recognize the elements on other buildings in the valley as well. Many of the houses are historically and culturally very valuable and are carefully maintained by their owners.
